Please note that I hold Danish medical authorisation only. Prescriptions can be issued in Denmark only, and diagnoses are valid within the Danish healthcare system. The Knowledge Base is currently available in Danish only.

Zsuzsa Boldogh — Specialist psychiatrist

I am Zsuzsa, founder of Passage Psychiatry and a Consultant Psychiatrist. Over the past 17 years, I have worked with a wide range of mental health conditions, helping people navigate challenging periods in their lives.

I graduated as a medical doctor in Hungary and completed my specialist training in psychiatry in Denmark. Following this, I worked as a consultant psychiatrist at Aarhus University Hospital. For the past 4–5 years, I have been working in private practice, primarily focusing on the assessment and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, and autism.

In recent years, I have become increasingly aware of the symptoms that can arise during perimenopause and menopause. This is partly because I have met many women seeking help for anxiety, depression, or ADHD-like symptoms, where perimenopause proved to be a significant contributing or triggering factor. It is also because I have personally experienced the profound impact that perimenopause can have on quality of life – and how difficult it can be to find the right support. This has motivated me to further specialise in this area over the past year.

My approach is holistic. I place great emphasis on thorough differential diagnosis – in other words, carefully ruling out other possible causes – in order to arrive at the correct diagnosis and treatment plan. This applies whether you are seeking help for mental health concerns or hormone-related challenges.

I see you as a partner in your treatment. My role is to provide you with clear, evidence-based information about your options, enabling you to make the choices that are right for you – always within current professional guidelines and best clinical practice.

Good to know

The clinic treats adults aged 18 and over. Passage Psychiatry does not hold a public health contract — you are welcome to contact me directly. Some health insurance policies may cover the costs. You should check this with your insurer yourself — payment is due no later than the end of each consultation, and you can then check with your insurer whether reimbursement is possible.

Conditions not treated here
Passage Psychiatry does not offer assessment or treatment of psychosis, schizophrenia, dementia or substance use disorders. These conditions require a multidisciplinary approach that the clinic is not set up to provide.

If you are actively using substances — including cannabis, other drugs or alcohol in significant amounts — an ADHD assessment cannot be carried out. You must have been substance-free for at least 3 months before the assessment can begin.
Important note on hormone consultations
The clinic does not have a gynaecologist on staff. Conditions requiring gynaecological assessment are not treated here — including marked genital symptoms, heavy bleeding, and known cases of breast cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids or blood clot. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please contact the clinic before booking.

The clinic does not provide gender-affirming hormone therapy.
Payment
Payment is made via MobilePay. All consultations are paid no later than the end of the session. Assessment, treatment and psychoeducation packages are paid in advance. Payment in instalments is not possible.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your appointment. This applies even in the case of illness. Late cancellations are charged 1,500 DKK. To cancel, please send an SMS to 22 82 00 11 or an email to info@passagepsykiatri.dk
Confidentiality
As a specialist doctor, I am bound by professional confidentiality. Your information is never shared with family, employers or anyone else without your explicit consent.
Online appointments
Initial consultations, most assessments and follow-up appointments can be conducted online. Whether an online format is suitable is assessed individually. Hormone consultations take place by phone or video.

Please note that autism assessments can only be partially conducted online, as the assessment interview (ADOS-II) requires an in-person visit. It is also worth bearing in mind that a thorough psychiatric assessment relies on direct clinical observation — some diagnostic information may be lost when conducting sessions remotely.
