What I offer – Passage Psykiatri

Initial assessment consultation — max 60 min

All treatment pathways begin with an initial assessment consultation. The consultation can take place either in person at the clinic in Odder or online.

The consultation covers

  • Your concerns, symptoms and expectations
  • Physical health and relevant medical history
  • Factors affecting mental health: sleep, life situation, alcohol use, current medication and allergies
  • Plan for further assessment or treatment

Practical

  • Assessment packages can be added on after the initial consultation
  • The cost of the initial consultation is deducted from the assessment package
  • If you have already been assessed elsewhere, an initial assessment consultation is still required — please bring documentation of your assessment so we can determine which treatment package is right for you

ADHD and ADD

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition characterised by difficulties with attention and inner restlessness. ADD is the variant without hyperactivity. Many people recognise themselves in the description — if you are unsure, an assessment can help clarify whether ADHD may be relevant.

ADHD/ADD assessment package includes

  • Initial assessment consultation
  • ADHD diagnostic interview (DIVA-5)
  • Feedback consultation
  • Clinical documentation and reports
  • Summary letter to your GP

ADHD/ADD treatment package includes

  • ECG and blood tests
  • Medication selection, including titration and stabilisation
  • Psychoeducation and coping strategies
  • Clinical documentation
  • Prescription management and subsidy applications
  • Summary letter to your GP

Initiating medical treatment requires a specialist in psychiatry. Your GP can generally take over the treatment once you have been stable on the same dose for 3 months.

If you already have an ADHD diagnosis and are seeking treatment, you are expected to bring documentation of your assessment — this serves as the evidential basis for your diagnosis.

Autism

Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition in which the brain works differently — not deficiently. It affects communication, social interaction and sensory processing in ways that vary greatly from person to person.

Autism assessment package includes

  • Initial assessment consultation
  • Diagnostic interviews and tests — RAADS-R and ADOS-II
  • Feedback consultation
  • Clinical documentation and reports
  • Summary letter to your GP

Autism psychoeducation package includes

  • Psychoeducation about autism
  • Clinical documentation
  • Summary letter to your GP

Depression and anxiety

It can be difficult to distinguish between stress, anxiety and depression — I will guide you through that assessment. In some cases, a full assessment may require an additional consultation.

Assessment and treatment includes

  • Diagnostic evaluation of depression and/or anxiety criteria
  • Medical treatment where indicated
  • Practical lifestyle tools you can implement in everyday life
  • Psychoeducation — understanding what is happening in the brain and why

I do not offer psychotherapy.

Hormone consultation

Do you suspect you may be in perimenopause or menopause — or are you unsure? The hormone consultation clarifies your symptoms and initiates treatment where needed. You will complete symptom questionnaires before the appointment.

The hormone consultation includes

  • Review of your hormone symptoms and medical history
  • Initiation of hormone treatment for perimenopause/menopause
  • Blood test package
  • Brief telephone follow-up after 3–4 weeks

Practical

  • I do not treat gynaecological conditions — if these are suspected, I will refer you to a gynaecologist
  • In some cases, gynaecological assessment must be completed before hormone treatment can begin
  • Additional follow-up consultations can be booked if needed beyond the consultation included in the package — 1,000 DKK per consultation
  • If you suspect an underlying psychiatric condition (anxiety, ADHD, ADD, depression etc.), please book an initial assessment consultation instead — this allows for a thorough medical history with focus on your life events
